I held your hand for the last time - a year ago-the size of your hand with mine- you was larger than life - you are my Dad - the one person I could never say good bye too!!

I would avoid friends fathers funerals because I never wanted to face that day - but it came - I saw it in your eyes- as much as I prayed for something different- I asked for God to take me instead but he needed a larger - stronger angel- and he asked me to let you go- we said I love you for the last time for this life!

I miss your sense of humor- your one liners- the way you would tell a story a hundred different ways- and the story got bigger every time!!

I wish I could call you on the way home and say hey Dad - and you would ask where are you today?

-I'm here Dad missing you! Trying to live another day without you -

I will forever miss you - until we meet again - the bar stool is empty that we once shared but I will try my best to live up to your expectations- I will always keep a roof over my kids heads - food on the table and everything else comes second-
